3-D Book Covers

I like them. They make something that you don’t actually have stand out from the crowd. And it has taken me far longer than it should to find a generator for such things.

Fortunately, I’ve found one that not only looks good, but which is also free. Free and good is, for a small publisher, a God-sent opportunity. The image to left was created using their generator, and they have a number of other templates for books, CDs and DVDs/Blu-rays.

The image was taken straight from the image used on Amazon and to create it took less than a minute. I had to crop the image as there was a lot of white space, but that’s a small consideration.

If you’re an author looking for an excellent cover, I recommend you go to Adazing – http://www.adazing.com/cover-mocks/

Father of two beautiful daughters and married to the beautiful Karen, Matthew has been reading and writing fantasy and science fiction since he first read the Hobbit at the age of 7. Matthew was Features Editor, Technical Consultant and regular columnist for magazines such as ‘Fighters’, ‘Combat’, ‘TKD & Korean Martial Arts’ and ‘Traditional Karate’. These are the four leading martial arts magazines in the United Kingdom. He is also the author of the critically acclaimed 'Practical Taekwondo: Back to the Roots', which has been sold around the world. With regard to his martial arts background he has been studying martial arts since 1991.
